Professional opportunity | All artists will be paid | AEA contracts available

Singers who wish to be considered for an audition should fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Following review of your materials, you will be contacted to schedule an audition.

AUDITION DETAILS: Please prepare a full song from Musical Theatre between 1920-1960, which could be a number from She Loves Me. Music must be memorized. Performers are required to bring their own music in the correct key. HALO will provide an accompanist. Please also prepare a side (below) from the role/roles for which you would like to be considered. BUSBOY AUDITIONS- In lieu of a song number, please prepare a one minute monologue in addition to the sides.

ROLES

Amalia Balash- The eager new employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. Despite being a skilled saleswoman, she easily becomes intimidated and nervous. Attractive, bright, and a lover of literature.

Vocal range: C4-B5

Georg Nowack- An established employee of Maraczek’s Parfumerie, he resembles a hopeless romantic. Shy, intelligent, and soft spoken.

Ilona Ritter- Employed at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. She is sexy and learned in the ways of romance, but longing for something more from the game of love.

Vocal range: F#3-E5

Steven Kodaly- A well respected and liked employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. Though he is considered dapper and occasionally charming, he is more of a shallow womanizer.

Ladislav Sipos- Not the brightest employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. A confidant to Georg, he is an optimistic family man who looks like a huggable father.

Mr. Maraczek- Owner of Maraczek’s Parfumerie. With a commanding presence, his dedication to the trade is rivaled only by his faithfulness to his wife.

Arpad Lazlo- Deliverer at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. Their exuberance is infectious and commitment to their job remarkable. Ambitious and adorable.

Headwaiter (Cameo + Ensemble)-  Sings A Romantic Atmosphere. Snooty, pretentious headwaiter at Café Imperiale.

Vocal range top: Bb4

Busboy- Works at the Café Imperiale. It’s his first day on the floor and much to the chagrin of the Maître D his clumsy nature keeps ruining the romantic atmosphere oaf the café. Dance/movement experience preferred.

Non-singing – Please prepare a one minute monologue for the audition in addition to the below sides.
